I think it's disgusting that you publish these peoples pictures....this is nothing...somebody urinating in the alley....who hasn't done that? Big Deal!

I own a house. I have been stopped by the police 3 times in the last year and searched for drugs...the cops are beyond abusive...they are threatening. I was threatened by a cop in a starbucks for asking him a question about someone they were questioning....I filed a complaint...knowing nothing would be done...but it probably causes a little aggravation for the cop...

The police in uptown are out of control....My house has been burglarized 3 times...Once while at home I had the burglar was in the house....he made a choice to leave rather than fight....

Now the police are people who come to a crime scene after the crime....I have to deal with the crime...not them...

About 60 -70% of the cops are crooked....and they are nasty as all hell...

I make no real distinction between the police and criminals....they are both dangerous....

But these people should not have their photos published.

The police in UPtown are essientially farmers.....they farm for the for profit prison system...

1 out of every 100 Americans is in jail....it's a business and the police are recruiters....the crimes of these men are really nothing that warrants having their pictures shown...

Well, poster #1, you're entitled to your opinion, but lots of people disagree with you. I have no problems with these published photos. ONE of them was for public urination, another for public drinking, but the rest were crimes against people and property, many were violent. You don't want your picture up? Simple, don't mug me.

Hey anon 1:13 - don't look at the pictures if they upset you so much. Why are you here anyway?

Take your meds and go away.

With the exception of two of the arrests where the offense was minor the others are all serious.

Now go back to sleep Helen.

As for your contention that 60-70 percent of cops are crooked you are WRONG. It is far less than that.

The percentage of cops involved in serious criminal behavior is likely well under 2-3 percent. The percentage that have no business being cops because of brutality, stupidity, or laziness is likely 20 percent.

Now what is the percentage of alderbeasts who are involved in serious criminal activity?

Poster No. #1 Says"

Have any of these people been convicted of the crimes they were arrested for????????

If no....then there is absolutley no reason to publish their photos. If yes there is still no reason to publish a photo of someobody who isn't dangerous....

Maybe you guys need to look into Jon Burge....you need to be aware that many gang members...according to the Tribune...have infiltrated the police....that the police act in gangs, arresting people, forcing them to tell the police where they hide their money in their homes...and then the cops go and get it...it's all in the papers....

This is essientially a suburban, white, naive, Republican blog that promotes the kind of fascism that is permeating the United States....

Reporting what you hear on the radio is interesting and informative....but politicizing all this with showing the people arrested who are all almost non-white people....as if white people who have money are not sexual predators, piss in alleys, steal money from other people....

Many of these people...who get busted for smoking dope...then go to jail...then can't find a job....then get arrested for petty shit like stealing something from a grocery store or a purse or bike....that needs to be understood...not sympathized with or accepted or allowed...just put in perspective....

People who have been convicted of physically harming other people....I can see that a little more easily when it comes to photos...

The cops don't mess with people who drive nice cars...so ...we don't get as many reports about the white coke heads in the neighborhood....

Okay, whoever is anon 6:58 should have their IP address blocked. This is a suburban, white, Republican blog? Come on. Glad to know you live life with an open mind, anon. Personally, I don't believe one ounce of what you have written. You wonder why people are calling you a troll. It isn't because you disagree. It is because your posts reek of made-up b.s. like the old Tanya Lawler on the BP Neighbors message board. It took years for that scam to be admitted. Maybe you will get bored sooner with your stunt.

These posts are important for the community. If I had been broken into 3x (as post # 1) I would like to have some info as to the arrests in the vicinity. I have caught people peeing in my back yard, and perhaps a charge of public exposure would stop that.. I don't object to a picture being posted of someone who is breaking the law.

anon 6:58 - I have both a bike and a purse - and yes, if you steal from either, you deserve to be arrested. Yes, the sentence need s to be in perspective, but a crime needs to be reported and an arrest needs to be made. Ignore petty crime, encourage more crime.

anon 1:13, I have never urinated in a public alley - maybe you should think before you drink!

I believe this is merely a reposting of the same flyers that the Chicago Police Department puts out and was in no way created by the blogger. You can't blame the middle man for the race or color of the individuals pictured. Maybe you should ask the CPD to go arrest more white people... although I admit I don't often see many white people running around these areas with guns, in gangs selling drugs. Should we just have affirmative action for the CPD that the percentage of people arrested in every ward be represented equally in number by the residents living there?

Mr. "Public Urination" doesn't exactly look like a dude that I want to run into in my alley. Yikes. Looks like there may have been a few too many adult beverages prior to the outdoor pee. :)
